Safety Training Program

1. Purpose

This Safety Training Program establishes the framework for ensuring all WindowGuru personnel are competent and qualified to perform work safely. It applies to all employees from day one and covers all operations across Ottawa and the Greater Toronto Area.

2. Mandatory Training

3. New Employee Onboarding (40+ Hours)

Day 1-2: Company orientation, HSE policy review, WHMIS, PPE fitting
Day 3-4: Equipment training (pressure washers, surface cleaners, boom lift orientation)
Day 5: Site-specific training, JHA procedures, emergency response
Week 2: Supervised field work with experienced crew lead
Week 3-4: Progressive responsibility under supervision
Month 2+: Competency sign-off by Site Supervisor

4. Ongoing Training

Daily Toolbox Talks (15 min): Task-specific hazards, weather conditions, site-specific risks
Weekly Safety Moments: Lessons learned, near-miss reviews, best practices
Monthly Safety Meetings: Regulatory updates, metrics review, improvement initiatives
Annual Refresher: Full safety program review, certification renewals

5. Competency Verification

Training records maintained for all personnel (paper and digital)
Competency assessments conducted after each training module
Supervisors verify field competency before independent work assignment
Training matrix tracks certifications and renewal dates
Non-compliant personnel removed from duty until training completed

6. Training Records

All training records are maintained per Ontario regulations (minimum 3 years) and are available for client and regulatory inspection. Records include certificates, attendance sheets, competency sign-off forms, and training evaluation results.

WindowGuru maintains a 100% training completion rate across all active personnel.
